In order to keep feeling supple, reduce tightness and gain a better range of movement if this sounds of interest to you follow these steps. Dynamic stretches, warm up, drink water before hand, pay attention to your breathing when running, cool down for a few minutes and remember to stretch straight after your workout to help prevent injury. As well as following these steps I would suggest core training and resistance training to strengthen these leg muscles.
