With over 15 years of running experience I am ready to share online how I have kept injuries away over the past 5 years. I have been able to prevent achilles tendonitis, tight calves, peroneal tendonitis, popliteus tendonitis, illiotibial band syndrome and runners knee.
Due to excessive pronation, flat feet. I had to wear orthotics for 10 years but I became aware that the insoles had not corrected the shape of my feet or were they really doing anything. For the past 8 months I have been able to run without the need for orthotics by stretching and adding strength.
I have helped all my clients improve their times and prevent the possibility of picking up an injury whilst under my training plan. My most recent success came when a client was able to run 13 minutes quicker for 10,000m.
For 3 years I have been working as a massage therapist where I have been helping clients with their own injuries and muscles aches. For each client that I have treated, I have supplied them with exercises & stretches so that they can remain flexibile, pain free and are able to exercise to the level that they wish.
Injuries used to really irritate me, because I found that as soon as I was reaching my new personal best this was when I would get an injury. I would then have to wait 4 weeks to return to the training I enjoyed. For many years this prevented me from reaching my potential.
